Fishing on Könkämäeno River 

Fishing on Könkämäeno River Könkämäeno runs south from Kilpisjärvi Lake. From the altitude of 473metres it flows 90km through the rugged highlands down to 142metres. Where Lätäseno River meets with Könkämäeno above village Kaaresuvanno there river becomes the great River Muonio.

Example Trip:

Day 1

Arrival to the town Muonio followed by a meeting where the trip plans will uncovered. Cabin Accomodation

Days 2-4

After breakfast transportation to Könkämäeno (180km). Where rafts will be set off from Peera. On travel on the trip will be made on a raft (4-6 person / Raft). At first a motor will he helping the journey upstream. Landing will happen at great greyling waters of Peera rapids. Relaxing by open fire and black pot coffee. The time there will be spent fishing on the banks of Sweden and Finland. Evening and night will be spent at a location by the rapids. On the next morning the fishing journey will continue to the next set of rapids, Pousuniva. The evening and night will be spend  at a location by the Karjala Rapids. The fourth day begins with fishing at the location  followed by arrival to Saarikoski where the transport to Muonio will begin.

During the trip our experienced fishing guides will share their knowledge of the best fishing places where fish are waiting to be caught.
